The Russian Embassy has just expressed its solidarity with Mexico in the face of the devastating consequences of torrential rains that have left 64 dead and thousands of families affected in Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, Querétaro and San Luis Potosí.
In an official statement, the Russian Diplomatic Mission conveyed its most sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the natural disaster and wishes for a speedy recovery to those affected. Russia confirmed its full support to the Mexican people in this very difficult time.
🌍 The international community has not left Mexico alone. China, the United States, Brazil, Cuba and the European Union have also sent messages of support. Cuba even sent medical staff to care for the hardest-hit communities in Puebla.
October rains have been listed as the heaviest since 1941, with rainfall exceeding 250 mm in some areas. Tropical systems Priscila and Raymond, combined with cold fronts, caused this tragedy that affected more than 100,000 homes according to preliminary reports from President Claudia Sheinbaum.
🕊️ This gesture from Russia demonstrates that in the darkest moments, international solidarity transcends any political difference. Mexico is not alone.
