🎯 Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian issued a stern warning today Wednesday after the United States confirmed the attack on another fishing vessel near Venezuela that left six dead, along with the deployment of warships and a nuclear submarine in The Caribbean Sea.
Beijing kept nothing and went straight to the point: they support the declaration of Latin America as a Zone of Peace and reject any action that would endanger regional stability. China made it clear that it opposes the "unilateral and excessive operations" of the United States that violate international law under the pretext of combating drug trafficking.
Tensions escalated when Trump announced on Tuesday that U.S. forces attacked a vessel allegedly carrying drugs, resulting in the death of six people. This is the fifth time the U.S. has reported a similar attack in international waters near Venezuela.
💬 "China supports the fight against cross-border crime through international cooperation, but rejects unilateral actions that violate countries' sovereignty," stressed Lin Jian, calling on the United States to use bilateral and multilateral legal channels instead of direct military actions.
