Thai Authorities Issue Fresh Weather Warning

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has issued a warning for heavy rain, flash floods, and rough seas affecting the country’s southern, eastern, and northern regions. Officials have also advised mariners to exercise caution.

According to Tuesday’s update, a monsoon trough is stretching across the North and upper Northeast, while a moderate southwest monsoon continues to influence the Andaman Sea, southern provinces, and the Gulf of Thailand.

The TMD predicts widespread rainfall, with particularly intense downpours expected in eastern provinces. Residents in flood-prone areas — especially low-lying zones and foothills — are urged to stay vigilant against possible flash floods and river overflows.
